The Merchant’s Mirror Story

Described as the “perfect” accounting suite by its developers, Merchant’s Mirror is the brainchild of Ben Hwang and fellow Firelace executive, John Brown.

In June 2005, an embryonic Firelace, LLC. began offering development services to local markets in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The company focussed on the production of software and hardware packages for small businesses and local traders.

Hwang and Brown, both of whom are well respected in their local communities, envisioned a software package that would ease the financial maelstrom that envelops many small businesses. This package, released at the beginning of 2008, came to be known as Merchant’s Mirror.

In 2008, Merchant’s Mirror became the flagship product of Firelace, Inc. The product, widely regaled for its adaptability, runs smoothly on every operating system: “Our goal from the beginning has been to make the system available to you no matter where you are or what you have available.” Merchant’s Mirror is an ideal starter package, and is aimed primarily at small businesses.
