The Outright Story

Outright is the brainchild of former Yahoo and Intuit employers and web developers Kevin Reeth and Ben Curren.

Previously known as GoBootStrap.com, Outright relaunched after Shasta Ventures and First Round Capital provided $2m in venture capital funding in addition to smaller undisclosed amounts from other investors.

A simple online bookkeeping service, Outright allows small businesses and entrepreneurs to track income, perform tax calculations and record business expenses. Pre-dominantly aimed at the US market and the self employed, Outright is currently a free service. Advanced versions are expected to become available in the future which will offer users more advanced features.

According to its founders, the aim of Outright is: “To keep accounting as simple as possible, while helping entrepreneurs track all of their income and expenses to get their taxes done accurately.”
