The payments system has now been live and operational for one week. It was very pleasing to see companies pay who we knew personally, who we knew as beta testers and also those companies who we didn’t know at all.
Making sure the payments system integrated properly was an important task especially when dealing with customers’ money. Coupled with that, I moved from North to West London last week and over the weekend (it seemed to drag on forever!) so it has been a particularly frantic time.
Over the next couple of days I will be
- Catching up on feedback given on http://getsatisfaction.com/clearbooks and via email
- Addressing a backlog of requests
- Finishing off the accountant system area
- Looking at prioritising and executing the next major feature (contenders being payroll, estimates, fixed assets, CIS reporting, permissions for multi-users, import tool ability from other accounting apps)

I've always been interested in computers and finance. I started out as a PHP developer and later qualified as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG.
Programming and accounting came together when I co-founded Clear Books online accounting software back in July 2008.
