Clear Books Accounting Software: New Design, Record Users, Free Your Time!

Clear Books accounting software has revamped its online accounting website. The fresh design coincides with flying through 100 paying users and a new company slogan, “Free Your Time”.

Free Your Time
“Free Your Time” is about empowering small business owners to focus on running, growing and analysing their businesses rather than spending time bogged down in accounting admin.

This is achieved through simple time saving features such as a quick bank import tool, one click online VAT filing to HMRC and automatic chasing of late paying customers.

100 Paying Users
In just over three months paid subscriptions to Clear Books have rocketed from zero to over 100. The company is targeting 1,000 by July 2010 and remains on track to achieve this with new paying users signing up to its online accounting system at an increasing rate.

Fresh Design
The new look to www.clearbooks.co.uk is aimed at standardising the style throughout and giving an even sleeker finish. Next on the agenda is a makeover of the accounting system itself and the continued rollout of new features and usability enhancements.

  1. Wow only 100 customers in 3 months? I didn’t realise how small this company was and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t concerned, I have just spent the last few days filling in all my details and dont really want to use anybody else now due to the pain of re-inputting everything. 100 is below your target as in the previous press release you said you wanted 200 in just one month. I dont see how this company is profitable currently or for the near future unless your figures go way up, I just hope whoever is backing/funding this will hold out as if you went bust that would be a nightmare for me and other users. I totally support you and I’m happy to see you through the early days by providing feedback on issues and help out where necessary (I’m a web developer) but a little assurance would be great on.

    Thanks

  2. Clear Books is 50% owned by Fubra Limited, http://www.fubra.com, a company that has been running for 10 years, employs nearly 20 people and has a history of profitability. So we are well supported in that regard.

We took the approach of documenting our growth and publishing our user numbers. In July 2009, when we started accepting payments, we obviously had to start at the beginning with zero paying customers. However, we continue to add new users every day.

  3. OK great well I’m sticking with you as I love the software although I have found some bugs/issues which I’ll send on to you, I quite like the idea of being one of the early adopters and hopefully having an influence on how the software develops.

  4. Please do.

Incidentally, we have found http://getsatisfaction.com/clearbooks a really useful tool to gather feedback from our users.

It is very much the goal to improve the system in reponse to feedback from our users.
