Market Analysis: Online Accounting

I have contacted a number of online accounting applications to let them know about an analysis of the online accounting industry being undertaken by a group of Cambridge students. The response has been excellent so far so thank you.

Here is an extract of my email. If you are are interested in getting involved please read on.

Recently I ended up getting involved in setting a task for a group of three Cambridge University MBA students for their final year project. Their goal is to explore the online accounting market, its size, how quickly it is growing and to compare it with the traditional accounting software market.

To achieve this they need data. Now some of you may already announce statistics from time to time which is great because they can use this, but it would really help paint the best picture if we were all able to contribute as much information as possible to the project.

The resulting report will be one of the most comprehensive comparisons available on our industry and will really allow us to benchmark ourselves and gain insight into how the industry is growing as a whole so please be as open as you can (but even general numbers will help).

All those who particpate will receive a copy of the finalised comparison report.

If you are interested in helping out please let James Strawson js679 AT cam.ac.uk know as he will be very keen to get in touch.

I really hope you can contribute.

  1. Hi Tim I am happy for Arithmo to be involved and I have contacted James to get the ball rolling. The findings should make interesting reading!
