Become more mobile with the Clear Books iOS and Android app!

As promised last week we have great news for our iOS and Android users! Today we are releasing the official Clear Books app for these two platforms.

About the Author - Juan Carlos Alonso

Juan Carlos is a developer at Clear Books, passionate with mobile and web technologies.

Juan Carlos holds a BSc in Computer Systems from the University of Celaya in Mexico, after working some years in the software industry, he decided to move to Madrid and studied a MSc in Computer Science at the University Carlos III. Meanwhile he did research at the Software Engineering Lab which led him into mobile development, to build the first stack of mobile applications available to all the students.

Juan Carlos is inquisitive and innovative. He always trying to find and solve problems where software can make a great difference. He loves internet, gadgets, and everything related to technology.

Besides the internet world, he likes exploring new places, side seeing, cycling and trying nice quality food.

    Oi have loaded both the iOS and android flavours of this app. There are some differences in the features of the apps eg customer statement links on the android. Is it possible for a webex to be setup and recorded going through the differences and usage. I need to spend more time playing as currently I can only see the customer listing to be useful in the field

      Hi Chris!, Is good to read that people is taking very serious the testing of our new app, I’m glad! About your comment, currently the iOS app is version 0.9.2 and Android 0.9.3 that’s why you can see some differents features, as soon as Apple approve the new version you will be able to updated via the App Store.

    Just what I was looking for. I guess it would be useful if you could pay off invoices and view bank balances etc but I guess its early days. A great start though and I am looking forward to seeing how this app develops (I use Android).

    I’ve downloaded the app but it won’t let me log in. My log in is via the old fubra passport. Is that going to create an issue with the app?

      Hi Rebecca,

      Can you tell me the error that is showing you? And, your account has administrator privileges? Currently only admins can use the app, we are working on a fix for that.

    Great job guys! I feel like a proud father, great to finally see a project close to my heart finally in the app store. Although I would suggest putting a spot of colour on those icons, they look too bland all in grey. Great performance enhancements.

      I’m glad to hear that, we worked hard to finish the app. And now with the feedback we will continue improving. And yes, we definitely will do something with the icons to give them a more “buttonish” style.

    Hi Michelle,

    Does your account has administrative privilegies? Currently we only supports admins, soon we will release and update that will enable non-admin accounts to login.

    If you account doesn’t have administrator privileges then you won’t be able to login, we are working on this feature to let non-admin to use the app.

    Hi Juan, will the app support time tracking, and will I be able to invite sub contractors to log their own hours on projects as a way of invoicing me.

      Hi Rick, time tracking is one of the most requested features, the other is non-admin accounts sign-ins, and guess what? They are already in our roadmap.
