The Arithmo Story
Previously known as TWDonline, Arithmo was accredited by the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) in late 2008. The package was designed to address a perceived gap between simple pen-and-ink accounting and complicated computer software.
At first glance, the Arithmo package appears utterly prosaic. The staple mission statement – easy to use; inexpensive – has been replicated hundreds of times, and the simple interface seems to lack all but the most basic features. The accountant’s version of Arithmo, however, has been engineered as a fully customisable solution, allowing accountants to create branded versions of the software for their clients.
An internal messaging system, the ability to communicate with online bank accounts, and an expandable premium package help set Arithmo apart from the rest of the Software as a Service (SaaS) community, but the high price may deter all but the most illustrious of professional accountants.
Arithmo Accounting Solutions (AAS), the development team behind the package, endeavours to provide small- to mid-sized businesses with a reliable alternative to Quickbooks and Sage.
