- CooPe DesignBelow is an example of how to explain a transaction which is made up of multiple payments. In this example we will be explaining £90 which is made up of three different payments.
To start navigate to “Money > Banking” and click on “Money In / Out”.
What the terms mean
Select the bank account the payments are being made into.
Enter the amount of the transaction you wish to divide.
Enter the date this transfer occurred.
Once you have entered your information click “Explain”.
Once in the explain money page enter the amount in, so for this example we are dividing a transaction of £90 into three payments.
On this screen the two key points are who the payment is from and for how much (highlighted). After you feel the data you have entered is correct click the “Add Transaction” button.
Repeat this process and you will see the payments becoming explained one after another.
When ready click the “Create Transactions” button, if successful the payment will appear as “explained”.
