{"id":10198,"date":"2011-11-04T15:58:11","date_gmt":"2011-11-04T15:58:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.clearbooks.co.uk\/?p=10198"},"modified":"2011-11-04T19:43:25","modified_gmt":"2011-11-04T19:43:25","slug":"next-steps-to-a-stable-platform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.clearbooks.co.uk\/blog\/next-steps-to-a-stable-platform\/","title":{"rendered":"Next steps to a stable platform"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following the recent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.clearbooks.co.uk\/2011\/11\/03\/downtime-explained\/\">explanation<\/a>\u00a0about our downtime we are determined to take significant steps forward with our hosting infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>As a growing business the CatN vCluster we have been hosted on has served its purpose, but it&#8217;s time to move on. We have outgrown this solution.<\/p>\n<p>We are upgrading to a CatN pCluster. The difference is that a pCluster is a dedicated, private solution with a bespoke design. CatN currently hosts a blue chip customer on one of its pClusters.<\/p>\n<p>We are also hiring a full time Sys Admin and I am pleased to say we posted a contract to a potential candidate today. This person will work in conjuction with the CatN engineers on site at CatN&#8217;s Aldershot and Woking data centres but will be 100% focused on Clear Books.<\/p>\n<p>It is our absolute top priority to prevent the levels of downtime we have experienced ever happening again.<\/p>\n<p>With a bespoke system, a dedicated Sys Admin and by eliminating points of failure we have a plan to ensure a much more stable platform going forward.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Following the recent explanation\u00a0about our downtime we are determined to take significant steps forward with our hosting infrastructure.
