Recruitment consultants have their pick of potential candidates on Linkedin with the option to view full CV profiles immediately. It\u2019s annoying as an employer!<\/p>\n

Karma works both ways. Here is how I have used Linkedin to find and hire three new recruits using the following simple technique.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Step 1: Search in Google
\n<\/strong>Assuming you are looking for a web developer, type into Google the following:<\/p>\n

site:uk.linkedin.com \u201cweb developer\u201d -dir -title<\/p>\n

Or click this\u00a0link<\/a>\u00a0to save you some time.<\/p>\n

Let me break down what this search is doing.<\/p>\n

site:uk.linkedin.com<\/em>
\n<\/strong>Tells Google to only search the UK linkedin website (assuming you are searching for UK candidates).<\/p>\n

\u201cweb developer\u201d<\/em>
\nTells Google to search for the specific keyword \u201cweb developer\u201d. You can change this for any keywords important to your hiring requirements e.g. \u201cmarketing executive\u201d or \u201daccounting oxford university\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

-dir -title<\/em>
\nTells Google to exclude directory listings and title listings on Linkedin. i.e. we only want results that are candidate profiles.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Step 2: Review in Linkedin
