{"id":25147,"date":"2015-12-17T09:18:52","date_gmt":"2015-12-17T09:18:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.clearbooks.co.uk\/?p=25147"},"modified":"2015-12-17T15:18:30","modified_gmt":"2015-12-17T15:18:30","slug":"newly-certified-partner-kevin-doran-platform-accounting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.clearbooks.co.uk\/blog\/newly-certified-partner-kevin-doran-platform-accounting\/","title":{"rendered":"Newly Certified Partner | Kevin Doran (Platform Accounting)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.clearbooks.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Clear-Books-Certified-Partner-Kevin-Doran.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-25150 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.clearbooks.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/Clear-Books-Certified-Partner-Kevin-Doran.png\" alt=\"Clear-Books-Certified-Partner-Kevin-Doran\" width=\"600\" height=\"247\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>What was your background before you started your practice?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As boring as it may sound, numbers have always been my thing! \u00a0I joined HSBC at an early age, working first within the high street branch network before moving onto their stockbroker division. \u00a0I then created Platform Accounting in early 2008 through a desire to take the stress out of something most business owners seem struggle with (or just completely dislike).<\/p>\n<p><strong>What services do you offer?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In general we\u2019re aimed at small businesses under the audit threshold of \u00a36.5m.<\/p>\n<p>We look after sole traders, partnerships and limited companies by offering a full end-to-end service including the likes of; bookkeeping, payroll and CIS, VAT, management accounts, all the usual year-end shenanigans plus plenty of down to earth advice &amp; support along the way \u2013 pretty much anything and everything a small business would ever need when outsourcing their accounting requirements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do you specialise in any particular industry?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Not at all &#8211; we have a very wide variety of clients across many different business sectors, from plumbers to large online retailers trading both here and overseas.\u00a0 We pride ourselves on being able to adapt to any given scenario.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What makes your practice unique?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Beyond doubt it\u2019s our highly personalised service (as well as being avid Clear Books fans of course!) \u00a0We\u2019re not just another firm interested in collecting our fees once a year for a set of accounts, we talk to our clients on an ongoing basis to help build a strong understanding of their business so as to best help them develop.\u00a0 Most clients think of us as an extended part of their business as opposed to somebody they have minimal contact with and begrudge paying each year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where are you based?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The moon! No, really\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Joking aside, so long as there\u2019s an internet connection it really doesn\u2019t matter (Coventry though if it\u2019s really important).
