{"id":25387,"date":"2016-01-07T14:54:16","date_gmt":"2016-01-07T14:54:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.clearbooks.co.uk\/?p=25387"},"modified":"2016-01-07T15:04:32","modified_gmt":"2016-01-07T15:04:32","slug":"clear-books-auto-enrolment-features-stage-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.clearbooks.co.uk\/blog\/clear-books-auto-enrolment-features-stage-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Clear Books auto enrolment features &#8211; Stage 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last month, we set out our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clearbooks.co.uk\/2015\/12\/08\/clear-books-auto-enrolment-plan\/\">auto enrolment plan<\/a> to let Clear Books customers know what we\u2019re doing to ensure our Payroll application complies with the upcoming changes to workplace pensions.<\/p>\n<p>Today, we\u2019re releasing \u2018Stage 1\u2019 of our auto enrolment plan, the first of 4 stages we aim to complete and release by the end of January.<\/p>\n<h3><b><br \/>\nWhich auto enrolment features are now available as part of the \u2018Stage 1\u2019 release?<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>New Payroll navigation structure, including new pensions tab<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We have moved a few things around in the navigation of Clear Books Payroll, to improve the user experience and general clarity.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Home<\/strong> tab is now called <strong>Payroll<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The RTI page has been moved from the<strong> Employer<\/strong>\u00a0tab to the <strong>Payroll<\/strong> tab<\/li>\n<li>The P60 tool has been moved from the <strong>Employer <\/strong>tab to the <strong>Employee<\/strong> tab<\/li>\n<li>There is now a brand new <strong>Pensions<\/strong> tab which includes a pension scheme setup page<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Temporary removal of &#8216;Assess workforce&#8217; report\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We will be launching our new &#8216;Assess the workforce&#8217; report on 13th January as part of &#8216;Stage 2&#8217; of our auto enrolment release. In the mean time, if you want to work out who to put into a pension scheme, you can use <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thepensionsregulator.gov.uk\/en\/employers\/duties-checker\/outcomes\/i-am-an-employer-who-has-to-provide-a-pension\/work-out-who-you-need-to-put-into-a-pension-scheme\/#\">this tool<\/a> on The Pensions Regulator website.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ability to add a pension scheme suitable for auto enrolment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Clear Books Payroll users can now add a pension scheme for auto enrolment by navigating to <strong>Pensions<\/strong>\u00a0and then<b>\u00a0<\/b><strong>Pension Scheme<\/strong> and clicking the <strong>Add new pension scheme<\/strong> link<b>. <\/b>Currently only one scheme is supported but we will enable multiple schemes in a future iteration of our system &#8211; we are aiming for a February release for this.<\/p>\n<p>Take a look at our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clearbooks.co.uk\/support\/guides\/auto-enrolment\/how-to-assign-a-pension-scheme-to-an-employee\/\">new support guide <\/a>for more detailed instructions on how to add a pension scheme<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>New pension contributions functionality<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When adding a pension scheme by following the steps mentioned above\u00a0, the option to support <strong>Tax Relief at Source<\/strong> contributions has been added &#8211; users should input the percentage of the entire employee\u2019s contribution and the system will account for tax relief when making deductions.<\/li>\n<li>Support for <strong>Net Pay Arrangement<\/strong> contributions has also been added to the same page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can also consult the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clearbooks.co.uk\/support\/guides\/auto-enrolment\/how-to-assign-a-pension-scheme-to-an-employee\/\">support guide for adding a pension scheme <\/a>to help you with this.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ability to set auto enrolment and pension details for all employees<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We have added some new fields to the \u2018Employees details\u2019 page so that users can begin to fill in information for their employees\u2019 automatic enrolment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Payroll employee details\" src=\"https:\/\/s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com\/clearbooks-development\/employee-details.png\" alt=\"Payroll employee details\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll be communicating the details of each of our auto enrolment releases, so keep an eye on our blog and Community forum over the next few weeks.
