Clear Books has announced that Phil Sayers has taken over from founder Tim Fouracre as CEO with immediate effect.<\/p>\n
The appointment of Sayers, who joined the company as Sales and Marketing Director 14 months ago, releases Fouracre to depart to establish a new business venture. He remains the company\u2019s single biggest shareholder but will have no involvement in the day to day running of the business. Fouracre founded Clear Books in 2008 and, like many of the small business owners that now use the company\u2019s accounting software, worked from home for 15 months in order to get his then start-up up and running.<\/p>\n
\u201cTim has always been an entrepreneur who enjoys creating new businesses and this move is something he has been thinking about for some time. Now, with Clear Books in a strong position, he feels the time is right for him to do that,\u201d explains Sayers.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s an exciting time. The company is in the latter stages of bringing two new products to market \u2013 Clear Books Micro and Practice \u2013 specifically around the issue of Making Tax Digital. We are in the process of investing heavily in strengthening the Clear Books team across all areas to ensure we significantly grow our customer base and revenue moving forward.\u201d<\/p>\n
