£3,000 employment allowance

Employers can reduce the amount of National Insurance contributions (NICs) they pay for their employees by up to £3,000.

Printable P45

Print a P45 form to issue if an employee leaves the company.

Printable P60

Print a P60 form to issue to employees at the end of a tax year, to detail the employees taxable income and deductions made by PAYE.

RTI compliant

Allows you to comply with HMRC regulations to report employee salaries and deductions each time you pay them.

EPS compliant

Some employees need to file a monthly Employer Payment Summary with HMRC. Clear Books allows you to easily submit this information electronically.

FPS compliant

Allows you to comply with HMRC regulations to send Full Payment Submissions on or before each pay day.

Final RTI submissions

Send your final RTI submission to HMRC when the tax year is complete.

Inactivity period

Ability to tell HMRC when you are not making any payments to employees for inactive periods.

Inform HMRC of employees leaving

Tell HMRC when employees are leaving your business. The FPS will state the leave date for the employee.

Late reporting reason

Ability to re-file an FPS submission to HMRC and provide a reason for lateness.

Director’s National Insurance

Supports the annual cumulative method for director's NIC's. This is based on HMRC thresholds.

Export Natwest/RBS Bankline

Export a CSV file with account details for each employee.

Add pension figures

Add a pension as a percentage of the gross salary, or as a nominal amount.

Salary sacrifice scheme

A contractual arrangement whereby an employee gives up the right to receive part of their cash remuneration, usually in return for their employer’s agreement to provide some form of non-cash benefit.

Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP)

Allows you to enter the relevant dates to automatically calculate SMP.

Submission of CIS sales deductions

Allows you to send an Employer Payment Summary to HMRC for CIS sales deductions, which is linked to your sales invoices in Clear Books Accounting.

Accountant as agent

If you're an accountant, you're able to enter your HMRC agent information. Otherwise, the payroll module will use the Clear Books agent ID for RTI submissions.
