Accountants in Practice are unique. Who says so? The answer is accountants themselves which is why over 1,000 UK Accountants in practice have already joined the ICPA.

Who are the ICPA?

The ICPA (Institute of Chartered Practice Accountants) were formed in recognition of the fact that little was being done to help the thousands of small accountancy practices throughout the UK known as local, or high street or GP accountants.

So what is unique about the ICPA? The ICPA is the only organisation dedicated solely to accountants in practice so we know the unique challenges and obstacles you face. This is why we have so many members joining who are also members of other institutes.

Of our members 10% are ICAEW members, 10% are ACCA members, 10% are AAT members, 5% are CIMA members and the list goes on…

Why Join the ICPA?

As accountants operating in the UK know full well, our working world is constantly evolving and changing, fuelled by significant technological changes and HMRC initiatives such as Making Tax Digital and Auto Enrolment. At the ICPA we focus on issues that affect Accountants in Practice only and our stated aim is to help in any way we can.

Help and support are our bywords and we keep members up to date with;

• £300k Professional Indemnity Insurance
• Telephone Helplines
• Bloomsbury Online Core Tax Service
• Free CPE
• Magazines
• E-magazines
• Apps
• Social Media
• and much more…
