Here at Clear Books we always strive for what is best for our customers.  With this in mind, we’ve recently been working with a security consultant, Yousef Syed, as a result of an innovation grant we received. Yousef is also a Clear Books customer, using our accountancy software for his firm Bayvision Limited.

Following many consultations, we calculated the size of the work that would need to be done, the planned deliverables and the security domains to focus upon.

During this brief engagement, we learned about the many areas that security impacts across the business as well as the inherent risks. This will drive us to implement the correct security controls to reduce our risk to the various threats, in addition to all the security measures we currently have in place.

Additionally, our staff will also attend the InfoSecurity Europe 2014 conference and exhibition, and also many other security conferences that are taking place in the near future.

Further to this, we hope to acquire ISO 27001 accreditation in the future, which is the international standard for an Information Security Management System

  1. Hi Michiel!

We’re going to be communicating new updates and features on our blog much more frequently going forward, which I hope will keep you and the rest of the Clear Books community much more informed about what we’re up to.

In terms of the process for deciding on updates and prioritising them, it’s mainly ideas from our community network, our Custom Accelerated Development initiative and general HMRC regulations that steer our ship.

If you’d like to know more, please feel free to send me an email on chris@clearbooks.co.uk and I’d be happy to help!
