Lizzie, Tara and Chris from the Clear Books Pro team headed to the Hilton hotel at Gatwick airport last week, to attend the 2014 AIMS Accountants for Business Conference. AIMS are the largest network of independent qualified accountants throughout the UK, and this event brings together their accountants from all corners of Britain.

This was the 3rd consecutive year we have exhibited at this event, and it was great to see so many familiar people, as well as some friendly new faces! The AIMS team were as warm and welcoming as ever and the whole day was hugely enjoyable.

The day was spent chatting to the many accountants who came over to see us at our exhibition stand, where we were able to demonstrate the Clear Books Pro software. Those in attendance may also have noticed the amazing Fortnum and Mason hamper we were giving away in our prize draw. The lucky winner on the day was Andy Eagles – we hope you enjoy it Andy!

This year we also held an hour-long workshop, which focused on the potential impact that using cloud accounting software can have on your practice. We surveyed our accounting partners beforehand and offered case studies of their journey towards the cloud, feeding back on how they approached its introduction to their practice and client base.We also invited Tony Dhanjal from Aidhan Accountancy  to speak for a short while about his own experiences, and Tony offered a fantastic and revealing insight into making the transition to the cloud. We hope all attendees enjoyed the event – we were unable to stay for the drinks reception in the evening but from previous experience we know it’s always a lot of fun. That’s why this year we handed out Clear Books Pro hangover kits upon arrival!
