Clear Books developer Rob Aiken recently spent a night sleeping outside as part of a fundraising effort for homeless charity Porchlight.

Rob joined members of Canterbury Homeless Outreach, a student-led volunteering group at the University of Kent. By spending a night sleeping outside, the group were able to gain further understanding of the difficulties faced by homeless people, and also raised awareness and funds for a fantastic cause. The student’s efforts have so far raised over £500 for Porchlight, including a £100 donation from Clear Books.

Speaking about the experience, Rob said:

“Sleeping outside for a night was really challenging, and the cold weather meant none of us actually got much sleep. It’s hard to imagine having to do this every single night, so it’s great to be able to help provide much-needed support and accommodation for homeless people.”

We’d like to congratulate Rob and the rest of the group on their fantastic efforts. If you would like to make a donation to Porchlight, please visit the Canterbury Homeless Outreach fundraising page.
