A couple of months ago we made our re-vamped budget tool available to all Clear Books customers.

Since then we have been gathering your feedback and improving the feature based on your suggestions.

Things to look out for in this next version of the budget tool include:

– A more verbose date parser when importing your budget (MS Excel auto-formatting am looking at you!). This means that our budget tool can now understand most date formats, so you don’t have to fiddle around getting it absolutely spot on with our template.

– A more verbose CSV parser which means more flexible data. For example the budget tool will now understand both “1200” and “1,200” as valid data.

– The long-awaited Year to Date budget comparison. You will now be able to compare your budget with actual profit and loss from the start date of your budget up to today.
