Today we are pleased to announce that you are now able to access the latest news, videos and pictures from the Clear Books team via Google Currents. Google Currents is an app available on Android and iOS devices, which provides access to hundreds of different publications presented in an easy to read and swipable magazine format.

Through Google Currents you can browse and share content from the Clear Books blog, YouTube channel and Flickr photostream. And the best part is all of this data can be synced and stored offline, so you can take it with you and read it without requiring access to the internet. To get started:

  1. Download Google Currents from the Google Play Store for Android, or the App Store for iOS. You will need to have a Google account to use the app, so if you haven’t got one already sign up for a Google account, as this will be used as your sign in.
  2. Add the ‘Clear Books’ edition to Google Currents by visiting: https://www.google.com/producer/editions/CAow1sOcCQ/clear_books in a web browser on your mobile device.

I personally use Google Currents each and every day on the tube to help pass the time on my commute into the Clear Books HQ. It is great to have the latest news from all of my favourite publications at my finger tips, and now Clear Books is another new edition to add to that set.

How do you like to access news and blog content on your mobile and tablet devices? What do you think of Google Currents? Let us know in the comments below.

  1. Thanks Roy and Martin for airing your concerns. There is always more and more to do but we do want to do it!

    Two brief points to make.

The team is encouraged to explore new apps such as Google Currents. As a tech company we need to be on top of new innovations and tools.

Second, I am confident that with recent changes we have made to our Ideas area to funnel our roadmap and developer activity through it, you will begin to see the level of work that is actually going on. In addition, over the summer we have several new developers joining the team.

Thanks for the feedback guys, more improvements are on the way! If you have ideas please add them in the system (click on Help) because we are now able to easily funnel these into our dev plans.
